The family room I stayed in offered great decor and cleanliness. It was spacious and had everything I needed, including comfortable beds. I especially enjoyed the breakfast, where the pub served good, hearty meals at reasonable prices. The hot spiced cider was a delightful surprise! Staff were extremely friendly and helpful, even assisting me when my car got stuck in the snow outside. The location is convenient, a short drive to Buxton, and there are plenty of dining options nearby. the bathroom could use some modern updates, as it felt a bit dated. I also experienced some noise from guests returning late at night, which might be an issue if you're after complete quiet.

Chapel Chippy just a hop away for proper fish and chips. plus, we loved Vecchia Italia for a delish pizza across the road! Breakfast was exceptional, setting us up perfectly for the day ahead.
Shame about the bathroom needing a facelift, and earplugs might've come in handy with late-night pubgoers—expected on a Friday, though! The distant buzz didn’t ruin the quaint charm of our stay.

The Roebuck is charming and well-located, with
Clean, cozy rooms that provided a restful stay. The hot breakfast was fulfilling, and the staff were extremely welcoming. the lack of WiFi was inconvenient, given the poor mobile connection in my room. a good base for exploring the Peaks.

I loved how the separate building for accommodations allowed for a peaceful atmosphere, making my stay super restful. The powerful shower pressure was a delightful surprise, really refreshing after a long day exploring. Plus, the local restaurant recommendations from the staff were spot on, especially the charming Italian eatery nearby!

Great base for exploring!
The Roebuck Hotel provided a warm greeting upon arrival. My room was modern and surprisingly clean, with a comfortable bed for a restful night's sleep. The location is perfect for exploring the stunning Peak District, and there are delightful eateries just a short stroll away.
During dinner hours, the restaurant was unexpectedly closed one night, leaving us scrambling for food. The breakfast service felt a bit chaotic, and we did experience a minor issue with the WiFi connectivity.

It was just a solid selection for a city escape in Chapel en le Frith with great value. The landlady was really helpful and accommodating, making me feel welcome during my stay. Consider bringing your own snacks in case breakfast isn't included.

Several aspects fell short of expectations. Bathroom facilities could use an upgrade, as some described them as outdated. WiFi was hit-or-miss, with some rooms having no connectivity at all, which could be a nuisance for those needing to stay connected. Breakfast options left much to be desired. Limited variety and some items like brown bread weren't available, which could be frustrating during the stay. Finding parking was also a challenge, especially during busy times.

Upon arrival, the room lacked cleanliness, which required staff intervention. however, the apology added a personal touch. Breakfast had hit-or-miss elements, with tasty offerings overshadowed by a somewhat disorganized service that left guests uncertain about their orders. The traditional fare at dinner was decent, but the absence of a proper restaurant on the second night left a sour note, necessitating a last-minute scramble for food.

The Roebuck certainly delivered a quaint experience! The twin room was surprisingly spacious for me and my dog, with clean and comfortable beds. The breakfast was well-prepared and plentiful, despite the curious need to pay for it in advance.

the roebuck is a really nice pub and kinda quiet. our room was small but super cozy with a comfy bed. the breakfast was good, made to order and really hot. also, it had good parking outside and the staff were really friendly! there are nice places to check out nearby, like lord's seat and edale, which we loved!
the shower in our ensuite was pretty tiny and the bathroom could use some updates.
